Description
Mu Zha Tie Guan Yin is a tea with a slightly higher degree of fermentation made of a cultivar called Tie Guan Yin managed by many generations of the Zhang family in Mu Zha district, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Only a little more than 100 farmers grow this tea. Since it is sought after by many consumers, they are said to be difficult to purchase even in the city of Taipei. Made in Muzha using traditional Chinese processing methods, this generously aromatic tea is tailor made for drinking by the fireplace on cold winter nights. In its soft infusion can be found fruity and woody scents reminiscent of prune, date, raisin, autumn honey, and caramel. It is not very bitter; rather, you can feel the moderate sweetness from the first brew. |
