Chrysanthemum Tea – Whole Flower Chinese Herbal Tea

Whole dried chrysanthemum flowers create a wonderfully light, fragrant infusion. Chrysanthemum Tea is widely known throughout China and has been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Naturally caffeine-free and beautiful to watch as the flowers bloom in your cup, it's a gentle, soothing tea for any time of day.

In Chinese tradition, chrysanthemum is considered a "cooling" herb. It's traditionally enjoyed for glowing skin, for its soothing anti-inflammatory qualities and as a natural, gentle cleanser that supports the liver. Many people reach for it to soothe a sore throat or ease tension headaches, and it contains B vitamins, vitamin C and natural antioxidants.

Tasting Notes

  • Liquor: a beautiful, clear golden
  • Aroma: soft, floral and slightly woodsy
  • Flavor: gentle and delicate, reminiscent of white peony, with slight woodsy floral notes
  • Finish: clean and refreshing

Why You'll Love It

Our pure Chrysanthemum flower tea brews a beautiful golden liquid with a gentle flavor. Its delicate floral taste is similar to chamomile, but without chamomile's sweetness, and it has a lovely clean finish. It's a calm, soothing cup that's perfect for winding down in the evening or refreshing yourself on a hot day.

  • Whole dried chrysanthemum flowers
  • A cherished herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Light, floral and naturally caffeine-free
  • Gentle, cooling and cleansing

How to Enjoy

Enjoy it on its own, sweeten it with a little honey or rock sugar, or pair it with goji berries for a classic Chinese combination. It also blends beautifully with green tea or pu-erh (the popular "Ju Pu" pairing). Brew in a glass teapot to watch the flowers open, and re-infuse them for a second cup.

Light, floral and time-honored, Chrysanthemum Tea is a simple pleasure worth savoring. Enjoy!

Anti-inflammatory properties are amazing. I suffer from endometriosis, and when I am having a flare, drinking this knocks down the swollen feeling and belly discomfort quite a few notches. Not a miracle, but it helps!

Great silky mouthfeel with sweet floral finish. Good for multiple infusions and lovely in a glass cup. Just drop in 5 or 6 flowers and add hot water.
