Description

Gen Mai Cha Supreme is a classic Japanese tea, it is a wonderful blend of luxury Japanese green tea and toasted brown rice. High quality Gen Mai Cha is always made with toasted brown rice, which delivers a sweeter, richer flavor; cheaper varieties will be made with toasted white rice.

This aromatic blended tea brings together the refreshing lightness, sweetness and the distinctive taste of roasted rice. This tea has a mild taste of sweet, grassy green tea with wonderful roasted, toasty rice flavor; it has less caffeine and tastes less astringent than other Japanese teas.

This is one of the most popular teas served at Japanese restaurants, and drank daily in the homes of Japanese!

We hope you love our luxury Gen Mai Cha Supreme as much as we do!

It's a splendid tea, no regrets buying 200 grams of this stuff.

tastes like the shrimp snacks I had a few years ago. nice roasted rice flavor.

simply exquisite and relatively cheap.

I drink Genmaicha every afternoon. It has enough caffeine to keep me going but not so much that I can't sleep at night. The toasted rice lend it a pleasant roasty flavor & smell. I've tried many brands and this is one of the best that I've found!

Delicious new morning ritual is making my Genmaicha tea, reminiscent of the puffed toasted rice cereal I used to eat as a little boy. Smooth, with a clean, grassy green tea flavor. Tases great with just a touch of stevia or xylitol. It’s so good, I don’t miss morning coffee anymore!

I like the flavor of this Genmaicha tea. I'm concerned, however, that the individual bags do not appear to be compostable. They seem to be made of a strong man-made product (perhaps nylon or similar). Purchasing the tea in loose-leaf solves the problem, but please consider using compostable and environmentally friendly materials for the individual serving tea bags.
