Description
Our Mei Zhan Black Tea is grown in China’s beautiful Fujian Province at an altitude of over 800 meters above sea level. Traditionally, Mei Zhan is a varietal used in making oolong teas, but this tea was processed in a traditional black tea-making process, with a fuller oxidation offering a complex yet balanced full flavor. The dry leaf of our Mei Zhan Black Tea is thick and wiry with a shiny luster. Once steeped it resembles wet autumn leaves, and it infuses a clear golden amber liquor with an aromatic stone fruit and sweet honey aroma. Its mouthfeel is delicate and refreshing, with a long-lasting date fruit and sweetness similar to a dark toffee. Enjoy it steeped hot for a traditional cup, or try cold steeping it in the fridge for 8 hours for a unique summer tea taste.
