Description

Only the very best quality leaves with a high proportion of young buds are used to make this premium tea, which is expertly rolled into large pearl-shaped pellets in the traditional manner by experienced tea farmers in China. Just one glance is enough to show you that our Black Dragon Pearls are something really unique and special!

Naturally grown and harvested in Yunnan Province, our Black Dragon Pearls are the black tea version of the much more common Dragon Pearl green tea. Black Dragon Pearls slowly unfurl in your cup to produce an infusion that has a naturally sweet flavor, similar to raisins, with notes of earth, it is smooth and chocolatey. Hints of cocoa whisper a subtle promise as the leaves unfurl, producing an aromatic and delicious brew to be savoured.

We recommend you to steep 2-3 Black Dragon Pearls per cup in hot water. Allow plenty of room for the tea to expand and unfurl in order to really release all the flavor of your Black Dragon Pearls!

By far my favorite tea I have tried! Pleasant aroma that mirrors or enhances the flavor. I may have an unusual palate, but I do not get the notes of chocolate or cocoa. Great Black tea with, to me, a slight honey lingering taste. It is the sweeter of the black teas I have tried. I am using two pearls per cup. Bet this would be great to infuse in a larger quantity and then chill for an iced tea on a hot day. Will definitely be ordering more!

I saw this years ago and bookmarked it, just looked so appealing. Finally tried it and it really is quite special. I can't tell the chocolatey notes, but even as a very rich full bodied black tea, it's absolutely stunning. I would say you need a diffuser pot to serve it. Personally I have it with a tiny drop of milk, you don't need much at all.

This is one of my favourite teas. A lovely chocolatey scent and lots of flavour. I alternate between this one and the Doke Black Fusion, which is also excellent.
